"After I heard [about the events in Charleston], I found myself sitting at my piano with tears streaming down my face. I felt absolutely lost and powerless.  I went to my piano because I knew that in my art, I would find healing  and the answer to the question "how can I help these people in need?" My art is in many ways my prayer and in that moment of surrender, the answer was revealed to me: "Write a song, record it and sell it with all proceeds going to the families of the victims." It is my hope that this work will help them heal."
